Environment:

    W2K Professional Edition V5 Build 2195 SP2
    WMQ V5.3


Error encountered:

Create two queue managers QMC1 and QMC2 and create channels (CLUSSDR/CLUSRCVR) between them. From in "runmqsc QMC1" I ping channel TO.QMC2 and get error:

AMQ9208: Error on recieve from host...

In the application event log I see two related events:
    Event 9208 indicating a TCPIP error of 10054
    Event 9213 indicating a TCPIP error of 10038


I recieve the same errors when I try to start the channel and when I try to establish a client channel to QMC1.

No FDC's are cut.

WMQ V5.2.1 worked on this box.

Anyone else out having similar problems? Also, I thought there was a 5.3 CSD available but I don't see it on the IBM web site. Is a CSD for 5.3 available yet?

Solution:

Set Environment variable MQNOREMPOOL=1

Undocumented as far as I can tell, unless of course you know the secret Hursley handshake...
