I need to map element which has 150 character length string to 3 different elements which has each 50 length strings. I tried using substring function in Mapping like below no use.

Message = SUBSTRING($source/po:POMessage/MsgData/comment_desc FROM 1 FOR 50);

Please give me idea how i can achieve this.

Use xpath function fn:substring($exp, $start, $length).
