Hi,

i was just thinking the below scenario...

If the log data sets are corrupted\Deleted form z/os qmgr then what will be the steps required to recover the queue manager?

is there any way to recover the qmgr without loosing the data?

Cheers,
Adi

Use the duplicate logs.

Do you mean Cold Start of qmgr?

will it work for Z/OS Qmgr also?

Read these:
WMQ for z/OS Concepts and Planning
WMQ for z/OS System Administration
WMQ for z/OS System Setup

WMQ for z/OS allows for duplexed log datasets. If one log dataset becomes corrupted, the other remains. If you lose both sets of log datasets, you can do a so-called "cold start" - pretending that this is a new queue manager.

You might want to consider taking IBMs WM300 "WMQ for z/OS System Administration" course.
