A queue manager stopped (I didn't stop it). The event log displayed this application event for Websphere MQ.

Error code 20 starting POSSV10821/Command Server WebSphere MQ service.

The service was unable to start QM32/Command Server. The error message reported was as follows: @çqr

Use WebSphere MQ Services to investigate why the service could not begin.

Does anybody know how one would go about using WebSphere MQ Services to investigate why a service could not begin? Win2K system.

I don't remember v5.3 interfaces well enough to guess what you're supposed to do with it for problem determination... It *could* be that the command server service is not set up to start automatically or has bad authentication data or etc... that you could probably see in the services control panel. otherwise, I got nothing.

I'd look in event viewer for more information about why the command server failed, and the mq error log files on the file system.
