Greetings,

I am new to this forum and need a little guidance.

We are a mature CICS/MQ shop and many of our applications use a combination of MQ and CICS intrapartition triggered TDQ to process their data.

Our guidelines for MQ vs TDQ are not well defined and we are looking for pros and cons of each to develop and support our guidelines.

I am sure this topic has come up before, but a little guidance on what to search for would be appreciated.

TIA,

Gordon2000

Well, you're obviously not going to go back and change the TDQ triggered applications, but I would think you'd want to standardize on the more robust triggering mechanism, which would be MQ. What would be the downside of saying: "going forward, all new work will use MQ triggering" and change existing programs where it makes sense.
