I am running WMB V61 CSD 7 on WINXP. My message flow is outputing a zero byte message with no error indication anywhere. I attached a trace node in front of the MQOutput node. In the trace node, I can see the properties folder, the MQMD folder and the MRM folder. The MRM fields defined in the message definition are all there. All fileds are either integer or character. Character fields are all fixed length. Everything seems OK except that some character fields has length shorter than the fixed length specified. But the message defintion has padding character specified for every character field. Should I expect the padding to happen at the time when the message is written ? or should I expect the padding already done and can be seen in the trace node ?
I am not sure what and where else I should look for other hints.

I'd enable usertrace and then grep the output for NULL as a starting point. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
