All,
Environment :
WMB Broker 7.0, toolkit 7.0 Interim Fix 1, Windows XP SP3.

We are using the SAPInput node to receive transactions from the ECC system. I am able to connect to the ECC system to import the message definitions and create the adapter component. I have configured the JCO jars at the broker level.
Deployment also is successful (no errors in the event log). However, the IDOCs are not being received by the node.
On enabling the RFC trace on the SAPInput node, I see the following information.

Code:

The fact is that two other folks have been able to connect using exactly the same credentials (server name, gatewayhostname, gatewayservice etc) that I am using (we are using an application username/pwd to make the connection). Has anyone faced this issue ?

The only difference seems to be that I do not have SAP LOGON GUI installed on my machine while the others do have it. However I do not know of any reason wht that should affect the the broker runtime.

Any insight and/or possible ideas to try out would be very helpful.

Apparently I didnt 'google' well enough.
Got my answer here..

http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21084920

The SAP client install adds these entries into the C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\services file.

I manually added the entries to the file and that error went away.

Have another error now but atleast this hurdle has hopefully been crossed.
