Hi
We have upgraded to MQ V7 in Unix & Linux. We are putting the message in RFH2 format using IBM WTX in Unix server and reading the message from Linux server using Java application. After migration to MQ V7 on both the server, the Java application fails to the read the message from queue. It pushes the message into backout queue with an error (RC2142): MQRC_HEADER_ERROR. When we look into the messages in the backout queue there are attributes (context & dt) added to the rhf2 header data.

Our java application fails when trying to read the header part of the rhf2 message and moves its to backout queue.

Please advise

As long as you're using V6 clients with that V7 qmgr you may have to run it in compatible mode.

In MQ V7, there is new attribute added to the queue PROPCTL. It is to be set to PROPCTL(FORCE), to force the MQ to deliver the message in the RFH2 format.
