I created a qmgr "LINUXQM" on a Linux box and started a listener using the crtmqm and runmqlsr commands
I can see them on the MQ Explorer
However, I can not connect to the QMgr from an MQ Explorer on a separate Windows machine. I can ping the IP, but I can not connect to the qmgr remotely.
So I went back to the Linux machine, and used the emote connection option to see if I could get that to work from inside the Linux box. That worked successfully, but I can still not remote connect to the qmgr using the Windows Explorer using the same options.
Any idea how I can try to figure out what is going on ?

Don't ping the IP; telnet to the port the queue manager listener is using. If you get a blank screen & a load of errors in the logs it works. If you get "Host unreachable" or "connection refused" you've got a clue. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I tried the telnet, and it did not work
I checked the firewall, and it was killing all connections. I modified, the settings and all is working now.
Thanks |
