I am a developer and have a new laptop with Windows 7 Pro. I was able to install all of the components to create the WBIB environment. The configuration of the Broker and Config Mgr appear to be ok. However, When I go to start the broker service and the Config Mgr service neither of the services will start. Here are the errors:
The error in the dialog box (when I attempt to start the service) - "Windows could not start the IBM WebSphere Message Broker component WMB_BROKER service on the Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly"
From the Event Log (System Log)-

Can anyone tell me if the OS is the offending party in this issue that is preventing the services to start?
Thanks. |

It's got to be the most likely suspect. If Windows 7 was a supported OS you could raise a PMR & be certain. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Have you checked the WMB Support Matrix to see if this Version of Windows is supported for your version of Broker?
AFAIK, you are on your own here. Much like I am when I install it on Fedora on my Desktop. _________________ WMQ User since 1999

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions. |

I have 6.1.0.5 running on my Windows 7 Pro laptop without any issues.
Although it is not on the list of Supported Operating environments.
Try the fix pack on, before you create and start components. |
