There are several reasons why I think this is.
Lets start:-
1) Network latency. Even how the adapter is configured can make a hell of a difference. Auto Negociate imposed an overhead.
2) Network speed & Traffic
3) Destination System Performance and loading and Operating System
4) Target System FTP Server performance. There are differences even on a Linux box between the different FTP Servers
What I'm trying to say is that there are far too many imponderables to make a report meaningful.
