Then how did you get involved in it or indeed hear about it?

The software pre-reqs are listed in the documentation (link at the top of this page), personal pre-reqs for using it involve the ability to read and to think. Aside from that how can we offer advice when we know nothing of your skills or situation?

If you look at this forum you'll notice a section marked "Job Postings". But given that you posted this originially in a specialist section for WMB noticing things (or reading them) doesn't seem to be your strong suit.
You also seemed to have missed out of the rise of job sites where jobs are advertised on the Internet. There's this great tool called "Google" that helps you find them; just type in "MQ Series" as a search term and some jobs will come out. Again, we know nothing of your situation or geographical location so can't comment on job availability, salary level, etc as it applies to you.
If you have trouble finding Google, look it up on the Internet search engine of your choice.
I also draw you attention to another forum section you might have missed - the one with "Read First For All New To Websphere" in the title. As someone new I'd have thought this might too have been of interest to you.

This forum helps those who help themselves. We're certainly not a training resource. As policy we don't remove any posts so any basic questions you've got have probably been asked & answered over the years. The product documentation is extensive, I recommend the Intercommunication manual as a first stop for the newcomer, and I would assume your interest in the software comes from employment at a site that uses it so experimentation is a good guide.
Nothing beats some formal training. Either in a classroom or from an experienced mentor on site. Speak to your employer. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
