All,
How do you set a JVM environment variable from the WAS console?
i.e For a regular Java application from the command line, I would do:
Code: |
java -DMYVAR=YES classname |
I don't know anything about WAS. If I want to set a JVM environment variable called "MYVAR" with a value of "YES" from the WAS console, how do I do it?
Regards,

I'm told (by a very nice lady ) that from the admin console it's:
servers - > application servers -> <your server> -> java and process management -> process definition -> java virtual machine -> generic JVM arguments _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Hi,
Thanks. Could you send me a screen-print of it? (roger .dot. lacroix .at. capitalware .dot. biz).

Roger,
One way is to do this is to pass the jvm the variables (command line like) as described by the reference jeff gave you.
The other way is through the WAS admin console. You need to find on the admin console where the variable definitions happens and assign the value to the variable... This way you will have the MQ_INSTALL and MQ_JMS_INSTALL directories to define etc...
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |
