The problem:
web searches for mq things usually returns hits from this 10+year old mirror site, with 10+ year old IBM manuals.
The solution, or so I thought:
With nothing else to do this morning, I phoned the ITS helpdesk, and opened a problem ticket asking NC State to pull down its mirror of MQSeries references, like this: http://middleware.its.state.nc.us/middleware/Documentation/html/csqsav00/csqsav003t.htm
My call was returned in less than 30 minutes. They will not remove this old doc because, they say, one of their agencies still uses it.
If you want, you may call and open a problem ticket of your own. It took 3 or 4 attempts to navigate through their phone system to speak to a live person.
