Hi Please help. I have the same problem with MQ 7.0.1 on XP sp 2. My installation hangs on amqt0002.txt. I have been battling the whole weekend and retried many times... This is a brand new installation, not migrating from 6.
It installed perfectly on my other laptop with exactly the same spec.
Did someone find out why this is happening?
Thanks |

Please do not re-open two-year old threads but start a new one. That said, have you checked the event viewer to see if there is anything related? Have you checked the installation log? _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Split from this thread as even if the symptoms are the same, the cause is likely to be different.
And I repeat the comment of my associate; don't reopen 2 year old threads. Refer to them (as I've done above) if you think they're still relevant. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Please accept my appologies, I didn't even notice the date of the thread. All I did was to search and I saw the old thread and became exited.
I have managed to get MQ working the dirty way as I was getting a little desparate. I had to copy the MQ directory from my old pc to my new one, and for some reason, now it works. Seems like Even though the installation hangs, all the required registry entries where done. It doesn't roll back when I kill the installation.
I know I might hit problems later, but for now I managed to create a Queue manager... queue, channel and a broker on the queue manager. it was a short cut I know.... but I didn't have much time..
Thanks a million for your assistance, very much appreciated, |
