Hello all,
I had a lot of difficulty installing the WMB 'default configuration' documented here : http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=52794&highlight= . The only way to get it to succeed was to create a secondary userid under Windows and run WMB there. However, this creates numerous other problems - its a mess all around.
So I'm wondering if anyone else can get WMB and Default Configuration running under a single userid XP system?
I cant believe its supposed to be this difficult for people that want to run the Toolkit and develop transformation applications under Windows. What am I missing?
Thanks,

I have nothing to add that I didn't say on your earlier thread.
Except that no XP (or Windows box) ever has a single user. Even one not connected to a domain. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Yes, I know Windows creates a Guest userid and a few others might be created by other apps, but I think you know what I mean. I want to know if anyone is running WMB Toolkit using only ONE userid that they actually log in to.
Its just hard to believe that everyone using WMB Toolkit on XP has to log off their main ID and switch userids just to develop an application. It wreaks havoc on being productive and switching userids (at least on my machine) has many, MANY errors and shortcomings. |

To use the toolkit under the current userid you will face some simple challenges. Read the manuals and add the relevant entries ...

I am for one. It just takes a little thought and setting up. I echo the comments of my associate. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
