Hi,

The machine that currently hosts the WBIMB Configuration Manager (version 5.0 CSD04) and its database in DB2 8.2 is being planned to be shifted to a different location/network where it will acquire a new static IP and hostname...

It is assumed that the Connection Name in my Sender/Receiver Channel pair will be updated with the new IP.

I am assuming that the above change in IP would have an impact on the configuration manager, its database and broker connection.

Please advice on the way forward or suggest an appropriate document where I can read about such scenarios.

Your response would be helpful, thanks in advance.

Communication between the different components takes place using MQ, so as long as you reconfigure your channels correctly then the effect will be minimal. The ConfigMgr doesn't store IP-address specific information about itself or any of its brokers.

The most significant change is in your toolkit connection definitions (which specify the hostname, port and qmgr of the target ConfigMgr)... these will need to be updated, as will any Broker commandline scripts that use -i -p -q parameters.
