This may not be the right forum for this but it is WMB orientated and there was nothing in the other forums for this topic so apologise in advance.

Looking for advice other, than breaking the mercator mmc and trees down and recoding from the ground up, as to whether anyone has found a utility or support pac or something that will "convert" mercator mmc files to WMB mappings (if possible) or an easier way to do it long hand if needs be. Problem is worsened by the fact that some of the mmc's are at 6.7 and some at 8.1
I have a feeling I am going to hear only bad news but thought it might be worth a lng shot putting it out there.

TIA

This is the correct place for WTx too.

Support Pac to convert mercator mmc [compiled version] files to WMB mappings, I never come across of it.

if you are using WTx what is the need of converting this to MB message sets.

Gaya3 - thanks for the reply.

The main reason is that the versions of mmc available not only spread across different versions but in places are lets say missing bits, these will have to be addressed seperately as expect you can not reverse engineer the mmc. The original move was from Roma to Mercator and now to WMB. As has been expressed on various forums that WTX has no planned path per se and may end up going like Neon, who knows what IBM think! but WMB if removed from the market place means we would only have to find a solution to replace that and not WMB and Mercator so I am thinking all eggs in one basket as a start point as there is not specific reason to use mercator in this instance. Also as mentioned some of the trees and other componenets are "no longer avail" read lost source - to me it seems untennable to try to repair that instead of just moving it all over and moving forward. It sounds like i had presumed that its a manual task. Thanks though.
