It will exist on both of those software levels, but only if the queue managers in question are on z/OS. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

A quick search of Mr. Google for SYSTEM.ADMIN.CONFIG.EVENT yielded this:
Configuration events
These events are notifications that some action has been performed on an object. They are generated automatically when an object is created, changed, or deleted, or when they are explicitly requested for. For example, when a namelist is created.
Configuration events are available with WebSphere MQ for z/OS only.
Are you running WMQ for z/OS? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.

Really? The WMQv7 InfoCenter still says that enabling CMDEV & CONFIGEV is valid only on z/OS _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Infact I tried by creating a new qmgr....as I said above that I havent seen this queues. |
Given the casual way you just create a queue manager, I'm betting you didn't do it on z/OS.
So if you actually read my earlier post that you'll find them if the queue managers are running on z/OS you'll work out why you're not seeing them on other platforms. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

The Info Center is not up to date. Read about Config Events on non z/OS platforms in the MQ 7.0.1 Announcement Letter (I posted the link in my previous reply).
I did submit feedback to have the info corrected. Either its wrong in multiple spots, or they said they would fix it in that one spot and didn't do it yet, although its been several weeks. They did agree it needed to be corrected. _________________ Peter Potkay

Then I'm content.
And my previous posts about why the OP isn't seeing it on distributed v6.0.2.8 & v7.0.0.1 still hold. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
