The environment is WMB 61 CSD 5 on AIX and WMB 61 toolkit on WINXP CSD 5.
I uses the debugger a lot for development testing. From time to time, I am getting errors from the debugger saying "Cannot communicate with flow engine"
Reason:
The flow engine has been attached to another debug seaaion or
The flow engine is not listening on the specific port ot
the broker is in abend state or
Time out occurred while connecting

The details says
Failed to attached to DEVCFG:9006

Sometime reloading the execution group fixes the problem.
Sometimes restarting the broker fixes the problem. One time I even have to reboot the AIX server. This seems trial and error. I was wondering if there is an error log where we can get more diagnostic information and fix the problem based on the error reported.

Given that this works most of the time and is fixed by restarting, it sounds like a stability problem. You may choose to contact IBM for support.
