hi all,
i have mq version 6.0.2.8 install on windows 2003 sp2 machine.
one of our clients who's using mq client (.NET) is trying to change his connection to us from our old mq 5.3 machine to this new machine.
he's getting 2035, i'm getting the following on the server:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: WebSphere MQ
Event Category: None
Event ID: 8073
Date: 2/5/2010
Time: 4:06:02 PM
User: N/A
Computer: ATTRMQV6
Description:
Authorization failed because SID: ((None)) could not be resolved.
The Object Authority Manager was unable to resolve the specified SID into entity and domain information.
Ensure that the application provides a SID that is recognized on this system, that all necessary domain controllers are available, and that the security policy is set as you required.
any thought? |

Is he running the client using a different userid (aka SID on Windows)? It needs to exist on your windows 2003 system, or domain. _________________ Glenn |

the user he's using is there (he sent me the config file).
usually even if the user doesn't exist there is still a record in the logs with the missing user name. |

Maybe the .NET MQ client is sending a blank userid. Try setting the MCAUSER on the SVRCONN channel to something that exists on the qmgr system (don't use MUSR_MQADMIN). _________________ Glenn |
