Hi ,

can some one please help to uninstall db2

Iam trying to un install with help of following link.
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21272992

when I am executing db2_deinstall command with broker as username it was giving me

db2_deinstall
DBI1052E You must be root to execute this program.

Explanation:

This program can only be run under the root user ID. Special
privileges are required to execute this program.

User Response:

Login as root and issue the command again.

when I was executing db2_deinstall command with root as username it was giving me
# db2_deinstall
ksh: db2_deinstall: not found

can some please give me some steps to uninstall db2 in AIX

The command you are trying to excute is not on your path as root whereas it is on the path of the non root user.

Thanks for reply

i was new to AIX , i found solution ,

i was trying to run db2_deinstall command from root user.

instead of this ,if i run following command with "./" it worked fine.

./ db2_deinstall
