Hi,
I have installed the MQ V7 on my system . I am using the latest RFHUtil.
When i try to connect to the remote queue manager it says queue manager not defined.
I have given the proper connection name and the queue manager details. Is there any other configuration that is to be done or classpath to be set? |

Are you sure your queue manager is up ?
Are you sure that you have mentioned the port correct ? listener running ?
Are you sure that you have mentioned the ip/host correct ?
Have you read the rfhutil setup doc ? whats version of that ? _________________ *Life will beat you down, you need to decide to fight back or leave it. |

Have you (additionally) confirmed that you can telnet to the port of the queue manager from where you're trying to run the application & there isn't a firewall in the way?
Have you also confirmed that you're actually using RHFUtilc not RFHUtil? As one will work with the configuration you've described (all other things being equal) and one will not no matter how you configure things. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

According to the ih03 pdf v7,
"Two small command line utilities are provided for the Windows environment only. The first utility (findmqm.exe) will list all queue managers found on a particular system. If the –q parameter is specified, then queue names and types for all queues defined on locally defined
queue managers will also be displayed. The second utility (checkcp.exe) will display and verify the classpath environment variable. Additional options are provided to display and verify the path and lib environment variables, and to verify that the entries required for MQSeries Java support are present in the classpath. For further options for either of these utilities, please execute the utility with an argument of -?."
You can run the above executables that will give the exact answer of your question.
BUT Be sure what Vitor and I have asked in previous posts. _________________ *Life will beat you down, you need to decide to fight back or leave it. |

I've already asked that.
Though IIRC that "queue manager not available" is English for a 2059; if this was RFHUtil I'd have expected a 2058.
But so many of my expectations come to nothing. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

"Not defined" is not a MQ reason. Is it "Not available"?
What is the MQRC? 2058 or 2059? |

2059 0x0000080b MQRC_Q_MGR_NOT_AVAILABLE
2058 0x0000080a MQRC_Q_MGR_NAME_ERROR
The requester should reply all the questions being asked !! Otherwise more questions may arise !!
