Guys, We have 2 full repository queue managers and few other partial repos connected in a cluster. these 2 full repositories are on 2 different AIX frames. We had a frame outage which led to one of the full repository being down. one of the application was trying to send messages to the partial repository queue manager which was down and hence all messages were getting stuck on the System.Cluster.Transmit.queue ...so we thought performing a refresh cluster will fix the issue since it may update the cluster regarding the status of the other qmgrs which were down.
So we performed a Refresh cluster command on the available full repository with repos(no). But this led to a disaster leading to all other applications using the queuemanager down and the cluster recovered only after the other full repository came up.
Doesnt Refresh Cluster be successful when atleast one queue manager is up?
and what will happen when we do a Refresh Cluster on full repository ??

What does the WMQ Clusters manual say that REFRESH will do?
Were the two FRs in your cluster fully interconnected? _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
