A file transfer application was included within V6.0 (but you may not have that component installed - it's a choice) but depending on the size of files you want to move around, and the strength of solution needed, you may also want to investigate WebSphere MQ File Transfer Edition. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

I m using MQ on AIX and File transfer application is not available on aix.
I found that MQ file transfer edition is best for transferring file through MQ but i want to use existing MQ additionally for transferring files. I don’t want to use a separate product for this. Is there a way (by installing any feature pack / support pack) to use MQ for transferring file. MQ file transfer edition, definitely, will require license to purchase????

That piece of information up-front would have saved me a few key strokes

Not that I am aware of on AIX, but you might want to look at the Capitalware site for one of their (free) offerings.

As exerk mentioned, have a look at the free open source project MQ File Mover. It can do what you want plus a whole lot more.
