Mark,
that leaves a relatively short period of time (approx 1,5 years) to move from WMB V6 to V7
I get the MQ V6 versus V7 since it has been around since 2008, but WMB V7 has 'just' gone GA... _________________ Michael

MB 6.1 is not the same as MB 6.0. |

There is explizit mentioned 6.0.0 and 6.0.1, so I assume the end of support 6.0.2 is not announced.
But what does it mean? If there is a problem with MQ 6, you have to install the newest fix before asking for support. The newest is 6.0.2.* and so it makes no sense to announce the end of support for earlier MQ 6 versions. _________________ Gunter Jeschawitz

6.0.1 was the final installable version (a manufacturing refresh).
6.0.2 (and beyond) was only ever reachable by service updates.
So this covers all the MQ V6 releases. |

MB 6.1 is not the same as MB 6.0. |
Historically there have been almost exactly two years between major releases:WMB 7.0 was released end 2009.
WMB 6.1 was released end 2007.
WMB 6.0 was released end 2005.
WBIMB 5.0 was released end 2003.
WMQI 2.1 was released end 2001. I've used some poetic license on the last two, but the point holds |

What page on the IBM web site is this linked from?
Is there a corresponding letter or announcement for WMQ v6.0 on z/OS? _________________ Glenn |
