Can someone please guide me through as what MQ header fields are affected by the use of Channel Exit programs.
we discovered that the User Id field was affected, as by design by IBM, that when a Channel Exit program is in place, the User Id field will be in lowercase. For calls to zOS, the Message Header User Id field needs to be populated in uppercase. Thanks In advance. |

this is not the matter of a channel exit. z/OS requires uppercase userids, where windows / unix in most cases have lowercase userids. that userid is also send over the channel, no matter if you use a channel exit or not
only if the channel exit modifies this field, then, yes, only then it is up to the exit.
in addition, it is not possible to tell in general what mq header fields are affected by channel exit programs. channel exits can access all header fields and all of the message. so you must know why the exit is in place and what it does with header and message. _________________ Regards, Butcher |
