We have recently encountered an error with one of our RCVR channels that I have seen on occasion, and we are trying to establish why. The below error was encountered.

11/16/2009 17:59:09 - Process(2868.3) User(MQ_Admin) Program(amqzmuc0.exe)
AMQ7472: Object %CHLBATCH.4, type scratchpad damaged.

Upon further investigation we found the SCRATCH direcotry did not exist. If memory serves me this directory is used to keep sync with channel status. A Qmgr should always have this directory correct?

Needless to say creating the SCRATCH directory and recreating the RCVR channel corrected the issue. I just want to ensure the SCRATCH direcotry is suppose to exist.
