I have no way of testing this right now, so I am asking the forum:
q.exe readme says:
Copy messages from QM1 to QM2 : q -xb -m QM1 -i Q1 -m QM2 -oQ2
The -xb parameter is required on some platforms to allow connection
to two difference Queue Managers from the same thread.
I assume this means that it will connect to the local qmgr QM1(in bindings mode... to do the gets) and then it will client-connect to QM2 on server-2 to do puts. If so, then it will use the CLNTCONN chl, requiring MQSERVER or channel table to be setup. Correct?
Thanks,

The readme.txt for MA01:
ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/software/integration/support/supportpacs/individual/ma01_readme.txt
------------------------------------------------
-l<Library> [ Not all platforms ]
The MQI library to link to, valid values are:
mqm - Queue Manager program
mqic32 or mqic - Client program
If not specified the program will try to use the Queue Manager
interface. If that is not present it will try to use the
MQ Client interface.
-------------------------------------------------
I'd guess either MQSERVER= or a client channel table (with appropriate environment variables) will work. _________________ I like deadlines. I like to wave as they pass by.
