Hi there

We have seen a strange result in sending a message between 2 queue
managers V7.01 to V6.0.2.6

The message created on V7.01 contains a RFH2 header and the message body. We have checked this by stopping the channel and browsing the data on the xmit queue. This message is sent to V6 queue manager where we are seing the RFH2 header and message body except for the first 2 characters of the message body which are corrupted. These are changed to the Hex chars x20 x00.

Any ideas why this has occured. We are going to rasie this with IBM
but will have to rollback this to V6 shortly.

are you doing any data conversion over the channels ?

do both the queue managers exist on same platform ???

how about the CCSID and encoding of platform, QM or msg ??

Hi
We are not doing any data conversion over the channels.
V7.0.1 QM(CCSID: 923) is on Solaris and V6 is on Windows(CCSID: 850).
