I installed WMQ 6 on a 64 bit Windows Server
The command line options work properly, but
I can not start the WMQ Explorer
THe Explorer link starts in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin\"
The explorer executable is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\IBM\WebSphere MQ\bin\strmqcfg.exe" -d
And the error is that it can not start java.
A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development k (JDK)
must be available in order to run Eclipse. No Java virtual machine was found after searching the following locations:
../../java/jre/bin/javaw.exe to start eclipse
Java does start up on a command line. The problem seems to be that when java was installed, it installed it in a directory named "java50", not "java", as indicated in the error message, , so the path ../../java/jre/bin/javaw.exe to start eclipse will never work
Does anyone know how to resolve this ?
Thanks |

Can you rename the java directory as needed by MQExplorer and see?.
Also the title should be WMQ Explorer and not WMB Explorer. |

SOrry about the typo (WMB Explorer)
Actually the strmqm command is not working, the qmgr ends immeidately after it starts
Does anyone know if you need a special install for 64 bit systems ?
Thanks |

Did you install the MQ of 64 bit?.
Do you see any FDCs?.
What error are you getting exactly?. |

May be you need to install some of fixpack to base version. The latest is 6.0.2.7. |
