I am using WMQ 7 on WIndows 64 bit OS
I have a broker, configmgr and qmgr. I saved the qmgr with ms03.
Then deleted it, and recreated it with crtmqm with a new -lf parm
Then I created a TCP listener named DEF. I assigned 2414 and set it from manual to "Queue Manger start"
However, Whenever I restart the qmgr (or reboot the machine), the listener will not restart without manual intervention.
I restart the qmgr, and it starts, but the listener does not, unless I start it manually.
How can I resolve this situation ? |

Did you define the listener with DEFINE LISTENER(LISTENERNAME) TRPTYPE(TCP) PORT(PORT#) CONTROL(QMGR)
This should start the listener with the qmgr startup.
When you rebuild the qmgr with saveqmgr utility, you need to start the listener manually.
Thanks. |

In fact, Gideon already answered this.

What I hope you mean is that, if you do not RESTART the qmgr after using the MQSC generated by saveqmgr to restore a listener definition, then you need to issue an explicit START LISTENER.
There should be nothing particular about listeners and MS03 that prevents them from being backed up or restored properly.
Gideon - Are there any messages thrown when the qmgr starts up? |
