On WMQ 7, the Explorer allows you to modify the property for Log Primary Files (It is enabled if you right click on the Qmgr, then hit Properties, and then click on "Log" in the left hand panel.
I thought that you could not modify this value, but that it could only be specified when using a create queue command "crtmqm -lp) ?
Am I missing something here ? |

If using CIRCULAR logging, the number of primary and secondary log files can be changed. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

Perhaps I've missed something. The number of logs can be changed regardless. The size of the files can't be.
Whether the change takes effect at anything other than strmqm time, or even then, is left as an exercise. |

No of log file can be changed even in MQSeries 5.3 However, as mqjeff said, you can not change the log zise. Also, it requires bouncing the qmgr to get this into effect. Also, when you create log file with -lp and -ls, all the primary log file will be created while creating queue manager. But the increased log file will not be created at once. They will be created on demand - when required. |
