Hi Guys,
I am new to MQ clustering.
We are using JMS to connect the queue manager(EAIQM01) and send the messages.
I have a problem here when EAIQM01 is down we are not able to receive the messages, I would like other queue manager EAIQM02 pick those messages and process them.
Could you guys suggest me to direct me to overcome this problem. |

As you have discovered now you can only retrieve messages from a queue local to a qmgr you are connected to.
If you are using a true asynchronous application and the order of the messages does not matter nor does the processor (EAIQM01 or EAIQM02) have the application use a cluster alias in the reply to qmgr field of the reply to destination or of the destination... and make sure the destination does have bindings = NOTFIXED set...
The cluster load balancing should then take care of future messages. For the ones in transit you will have to wait until EAIMQ01 comes back up.
Have fun _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

If your environment is on z/OS, you can also use Queue-Sharing...where any qmgr in the QSGroup can pick up the message.

If you upgrade to MQ v7.0.1, you can set up a multi-instance qmgr. |
