Hi,
I would like to know if the MCAUSER channel property *must* be set to the user id for a client connection over SVRCONN channel. I have no idea about the user ids or networks, as the connection is from a cleint's network. We will be using SSL for the connection. The authorizations for the queue manager and the queues are set up correctly.
Thanks,

I'd like to know what your search results showed. |

A search on this topic would result in lots of info...
In short, NO. But the ID that comes in will be the ID that is used in authorizations (which might not be what you granted). If the ID is blank and MCAUSER is blank, it will assume the authorization of the MCI (which will be the service ID of MQ).
Search and learn. More to it then that. |

Given that the MQ API allows you to assert any userid over a client, you are leaving yourself open to user impersonation if you don't set MCAUSER.
