				| Hi
We are going to use one queue manager called "HubQM" ,which will act as a gateway to the MQ cluster created by us with another 2 queue managers.

The gate way queue manager will ineract with the other queue managers in our system ,it needs to be interacted with around 70 spokes.

My HubQM is going to contain following number of mq objects

 5 local queues
70 transmission queues each for communicating one spoke
 280 remote queues
70 sender channels to send messages to spokes
70 receiver channels to receive messages spokes

so can anybody suggest me on the tuning of my "HubQM", as it is going to handle large amount of mq objects.

 Thanks

				| That's a pretty small number of MQ objects. | |

				| Ok , But can u please suggest me regarding the logging of this queue managers
presently i have the following settings for logging

 Log type:Circular
 Log file page:256
 Log primary files :50
 Log secondary files: 50
 Log buffer size: 0
 log write integrity:tripple write

this i found from the queue managers properties and extend properties item.

i m little bit scared about this settings, whether my queue manger with this settings can handle the message flow from spoke to Hub and From Hub to Spokes.

Daily the typical message flows will be 2000 with each messge size of 3MB.

can u please suggest me on the chanel parameter settings also.
because channels need to handle these traffic.

and how can i set my MQ channel so that it will be using maximum available bandwith of the network.

and How to set my MQ software to use the Maximum Memory setting of the system.RAM, and CPU utilization etc

 Thanks

				| A little bit of digging, and you'd have found THIS. _________________

That's not a very large number of messages. They're also very small messages in the scheme of things.

Given that 3Mb is below the default size (4Mb) you don't need to change anything to handle these messages. Also given that you're looking at only 2000 message a day I doubt the channels will be particually stressed even using the default setting.

I think you'll need to push a bit harder on most networks to come close to using max bandwidth with a 3Mb message.

There are support pacs that talk about tuning your WMQ. But at the levels you're talking about I doubt tuning is going to make much difference.
