Hi there,
Question: can more than one instance of jboss connect to 1 queue manager through 1 channel and work in parallel?
We've set this up, but every so often, one of the jboss servers chokes with the following message:
MQJI002: Not connected to a queue manager.
2009-09-23 17:00:42,402 ERROR [com.accenture.adsj.soa.mrf.transport.jms.JmsReceiverMDB] javax.jms.JMSException: MQJMS2008: failed to open MQ queue ESB.MQ.RESPONSE
Thanks for your input! _________________ MQ 6.0.2.3

I think same app running on different servers or many instances of an application on a server can make connection to a queue manager and open a queue if the queue is defined as shared.
There should be a linked exception which would help to figure out exact proble. Could you please post the complete error including link exception eg
javax.jms.JMSSecurityException: MQJMS2008: failed to open MQ queue
Linked Exception = com.ibm.mq.MQException: MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2035

Facing the same issue: Here is the linked exception.
MQJE001: An MQException occurred: Completion Code 2, Reason 2018 MQJI002: Not connected to a queue manager.
Can you please help? |

Please don't 're-open' old posts - better to create a new one and link to the old one.
Read up on MQRC 2018, especially the bit about shared handles. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |
