Hi all..

I keep getting an error with the event id 2623.
My situation is i got 3 QM. Lets name them A, B and C. B has direct connection with A and C while A will receive messages from C via B and C will receive messages from A via B.

Eg.. A --------- B ---------- C
QM B will play the forwarder role.

When A receive a message sent from C, in the event viewer of A, I will get a error with event id 2623. The message will state that on A, it is unable to open the queue SYSTEM.JMS.REPORT.QUEUE on QM C. Likewise, i will get a similar message on C when it receive a message from QM A.

I am thinking that this is due to JMS trying to send a ACK message to the originator of the message but it has no direct path to it.

In the broker toolkit, I noticed in the workflow of B. In the output node to A and C, under a tab, there is this "Reply to Queue and Reply to Queue Manager". I think this might be the key to solve my problem.

Is it true that, on B's workflow, if i set the reply to queue and reply-to-queuemanager on the outputnodes to A and C, to B QM's name, this problem would be solved? To me, it is like I am telling A and C to reply to B.

Thanks a lot =)

Try an alias QMGR at A and C for each other that point to B.

Yes if you want the acknowldement at application at qmgr B.

Best Solution for this is put qmgr A, B and C in to MQ Cluster and send/recive request-reply messages via Cluster queues.

Cheers,
Aditya

Doesn't seem so in this condition..

I don't think one would go for an overlapped clusters just for 3 qmgrs.

is there only three queue managers in their infrastruture? are you sure?

Best Way to work with Broker components is to put it's qmgrs to a MQ Cluster. So if they are using MQ Cluster with Broker, CMG, UNM qmgrs..

Then it is easy to put qmgr A and qmgr C in to MQ Cluster with qmgr B[Broker qmgr]...

That's only the Best Way if it's the appropriate way.
