Can u setup MQ clustering with defining Quemanagers and queues only or do sender, receiver channels need to be defined as well. Our MQ enviroment is interal and only talks to the interanl application.

Do you understand clustering ?
Why would any body do so ?

Why not ?
Do you understand the SYSTEM DEFAULT definitions of these objects.

Can you put some light on that.
"Internal" ... How would this affect the way of implementation of the basics of the MQ Cluster in a system?

If you are talking about the Cluster then 'Cluster SDR and Cluster RCVR' channels are important.
Sender and Receiver are imp. when Distributed env. comes to the picture. And QMGR Alias setup !

They are not important, they are mandatory! No cluster channels, no cluster

Again, they are not important, they are mandatory! No channels, no distributed environment

Why? Justify that remark please.

I accept that., the phrase should be its not only important but also mandate in both the scenarios.

Sure, I am talking about the sender receiver channels, when in the scenario the queue manager A is trying to put the message on the queue manager B which is the part of cluster. A is out side the cluster. Between A and B the channel pair is required and that is sender and receiver channel pair.
