Hi,

I installed WMB as root but changed the ownership from root:system to serviceid:mqbrkrs on opt/IBM/mqsi and opt/IBM/mqsi/6.1 by mistake. The application team got back back saying that this is hindering message flow, If so, can anybody suggest me the solution to this problem other than re-installing the product? I think chown -R on all the ownerships and file permissions to what they are supposed to be would do it, correct me if i am wrong.

Did they give a reason why? I'd ask for why and then try and resolve that issue.

I suspect they just like creating a requirement for them to need the root password
