Hello everyone,
i need your help.

On zos i have a queue manager called mfes (version 7).
I have a remote queue that...with trasmission queue called ibm.to.wpssibus, send message through channel ibm.to.wpssibus (the name is the same).

Unfortunately..when channel starts..i got the following messages :

CSQX500I :MFES CSQXRCTL Channel IBM.TO.WPSSIBUS started
CSQX527E :MFES CSQXRCTL Unable to send message for channel 937
IBM.TO.WPSSIBUS
CSQX506E :MFES CSQXRCTL Message receipt confirmation not received for
channel IBM.TO.WPSSIBUS
CSQX599E :MFES CSQXRCTL Channel IBM.TO.WPSSIBUS ended abnormally

Anyone can tell me why?'
I read "messages and codes" but it tell me "the remote end can't receive messages"...how i have to check?

Thank u all

Ciao

Giuliano

Are these new channels?

Before you tried to start the sender channel, did you do a tcp ping? Then did you do an MQ PING? What were the results of both?

Is there a listener running on the receiver end of the channel? What is the status of the receiver end of the channel? What errors were encountered on the receiver end of the channel?

And, when you looked up csqx527e in the WMQ Messages manual, what did it suggest that you do? Did you do it? What was the result?

...NOW IT WORKS FINE.

There was some uncommitted messages on its trasmission queue...so...after have done a "resolve with commit" on the channel...all works good.

Thank u all

uh. why? did you make sure the messages have been received by the receiving end?

resolve is a "dangerous" action. before resolving, you should investigate the receiving end.

if you resolve with commit, but the messages have not been received, then you throw away messages.

if you resolve with backout, but the messages have already been received, then you doublicate messages.

Message receipt confirmation not received for channel xxx

From my experience, one "common" reason for this erro message is, that MQ on the receiving end is not able to put the message into the target queue, and, in addition, no Dead Letter Queue is assigned or put to that DLQ fails too. Because the receiving MQ is not able to store the message anywhere it is stopping the receiver channel leaving the sender indoubt what happened to the messages.

and in that situation you resolved with commit, so IMHO you discarded the messages from this indoubt batch.

have you send messages since the resolve command? if the problem at the receiving end has not been fixed you should see the same error message again.

..Ops...it did it again

U was right Mr Butcher...

We don't know where the problem is because the QM on the receing end is on one application server ( i don't manage it..i only manage QM on ZOS).

So..i'm waiting for an answer from my colleagues.

I just say them...what you suggest me...we will see

Thank u
