I am using rfhutilC 7.0 for remote QMgr(v6.0) access. I have created MQSERVER and able to put message in broker queue but couldn't get message from the same queue.
Here is the get message error: 11.57.42 2046 Invalid option for operation Get
Browse also doesn't work. Put worked fine
Can anyone help me what needs to be set extra. This is happing after I replaced my old m/c. In old m/c it was working fine both put/get and everthing.
Besides set MQSERVER=SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN/TCP/host(1414)what I need to do.
However, I have SVRCONN channel name definied(SYSTEM.BKR.CONFIG) which is other than SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN/TCP/host(port).
Anyone can help??
Thanks. |

What broker queue? What's it's name? Are you certain it's not a remote queue? _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

It looks like a minor bug in RfhUtil, related to User properties.
According to the latest RfhUtil documentation:
The user properties options will be ignored if RHUtil is connected to a V6 or earlier queue manager or client.
In order to see message properties displayed on the usr props tab the Yes option must be selected. This is the initial setting if the locally installed version of MQ is V7 or higher.
I suspect that you have WMQ V7 server or client locally installed?
RfhUtil automatically assumes that user properties apply (User Props option defaults to Yes), but does not ignore user properties when you then connect to a V6 queue manager.
As a workaround, manually set User Props = 'As Queue' and you'll be able to get/browse ok.

Nick. |

Great. Thanks! This helped.
(even though the answer helped me about 2 years after your post)
Version 7 MQ client and V6 queue manager. |
