I have recently installed MQ v7.0 on my laptop running Windows XP. I am now trying to install the Message Broker v.6.1. However, I keep getting unresolved dependency on MQ v6.0. Is there any way to work around this? I don't have previous versions of MQ.
Works for me. On your Broker Media should be a V6 of MQ. I am not sure whether this is the best solution, but you might try to Install that V6 MQ from your Broker Media, update the Broker Version to 6.1.0.3 and then install MQ V7. I do belive MQ V7 support was only added in Broker V6.1.0.3
I did notice the same behavior when I tried to install WMB6.1 with WMQ7.0. But later figured out it is actually the Eclipse framework that needs to be at 3.0 (comes with WMQ6.0) for WMB6.1 while WMQ7.0 comes with Eclipse 3.3. So, you need to install both Eclipse versions and then the WMB6.1 launchpad shows that WMQ6.0 is installed.
