Hi,

Well, I have made deep search of the web and found no clear ways to configure the JMS component in the Filenet Business Process Manager.

I have posted the same requirement on filenet forums as well but yet here from some one.

And also what's most haunting is that has no body tried integrating Filenet with JMS or MQ?

Let me explains some the steps that has been completed:

1. Created a new process task manager which runs using the JVM of WAS.

2. Added all the necessary jars files like naming.jar, com.ibm.mq.jar, jms.jar, com.ibm.mqjms.jar etc.

3. Assigned the Initial context factory as com.ibm.wsn.WsnInitialContextFactory.

4. In the Process Configuration console I created a jms component and assigned the JNDI names of the Queue and the Queue Destination which were created in WAS.

In spite of these setting as described in the Documentation I am unable to get the JMS component started.

Let me know if I am missing something at the configuration level.

Thanks

Hi,

I don't know what filenet is but I do know others have tried integrating it with MQ because the 3rd entry when I google 'filenet jms' after your mqseries.net posts is about someone with a security error when they try to use filenet with MQ.

Are you getting any specific MQ errors that we can help with from an MQ perspective?

Cheers,
Vicky

I solved this just a week back. I am posting this so that some one else can be benifitted.

Whatever has been done in the previous steps are exactly correct on the filenet side.

On MQ side we need to run the Prepare Websphere MQ Wizard. Once started enter the domain name and domain user id and password. This is required for filenet as it needs a usreid to connect to MQ at a domain level. This is achieved by the above configuration.

Thanks.

What you are achieving with the wizzard is to run MQ under that user id.
What you really need is to grant correct authorization to a group / userid that filenet will use to access MQ.

Have fun
