• Highly motivated, results-orientated IT software specialist with over 30 years of progressive IT experience in both the private and public sectors with specialization on a number of technical platforms namely mainframe and mid-range environments

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS:
• Websphere MQ Software Support Specialist at the Canada Revenue Agency in an administrative and general support role.
• Websphere MQ Software Support Specialist at the PWGSC Secure Channel project providing day to day MQ support and acting in an advisory role for development staff.
• Websphere MQ and Middleware consultant and advisor for CSIS including installation of the Websphere products and basic guidance as to its use.
• Chosen as Websphere Architect for the MASIS Project at the Department of National Defence under contract with IBM. Chief Administrator and Manager for all aspects of Websphere MQ.
• Created, developed, and lead the successful implementation of the middleware strategy for the Department of National Defense (DND), Ottawa Canada using the IBM Websphere MQ family of products.
• Successfully installed and provided ongoing support on all Websphere MQ platforms: including zOS, AIX, HP, Windows, and Sun Solaris.
• Successfully authored and implemented department-wide naming standards related to the implantation of MQ.
• Effectively researched and reported on the possible use of ‘Websphere MQ Everyplace’ in military conveyances. Acted as envoy to the 3 main branches of the military in proposing and the introduction of Websphere MQ at DND.
• Recognized for expertise in the role of administrator for IBM products and 3rd party related software products.
• Successfully carried out the role of Systems Programmer in many government and private industry organizations specializing in Websphere MQ and CICS. This work included DB2 support.
• As a member of the Software Specialist Program at IBM, successfully initiated sales and was the primary contact for IBM customers in the Ottawa, Canada area and provinces east, for customer support for Websphere MQ and CICS. Recognized in the role of Technical Sales for IBM for all the MQ, CICS and DB2 family of products. Successfully initiated then led and presented technical and sales seminars in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto, Canada and successfully ran the Ottawa CICS and Websphere MQ user groups for over 11 years.
• Proven ability to teach classes and give presentations of IBM software products for both IBM, private industry, as well as the majority of government IT departments in Ottawa.
