Oh dear...
1. Version 5.3 is out of support, and has been since September 2007 (or there about).
2. Please inform your management of item 1. above.
3. Look at my tag-line, it's a pointer to where you will find the information.
4. You should have read THIS first. _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

- There is no good reason to install v5.3 anywhere, as my associate points out
- There is a lot more to setting up the server than simply installing the software. This configuration is site specific and beyond the scope of this forum to assist with unless you have a specific issue. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Be kind to yourself. Refuse to do it.
There are "quick beginnings" guides for MQ on the various distributed platforms, including Linux. They are available at the MQ library site for supported versions (6.0 and 7.0). _________________ Glenn |

first of all convince your client that its been out of support.
Regarding about the installation procedure go through the system admin guide, proper installation procedures are there.
V5.3 is out of support so no support _________________ Regards

"You" who?
For the WMQ Library site, (including unsupported versions), try this link. |

Check your URL, or if you did and thought it was a good joke... _________________ It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before...and it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys. |

WMQ 5.3 client will work with a WMQ 6 queue manager, although I would recommend applying the latest available maintenance to 5.3 client.
It is out of support of course. |
