Hi,
I am using crtmqm command to create a queue manger. Then how to assign a port number to that????
and can any body explains me what is channel initiator????
When you start a 'listener' for a queue manager, you specify
which port the listener listens on. Each queue manager needs to have it's own listener and each listener needs to be assisgned a unique port. There are different options for setting up a listener depending on which platform you are on. You can post back and give us your operating system, or look in the
Intercommunications guide. That is where setting up channel listeners is described.
A channel initiator is just a trigger monitor for a sender channel where the xmit queue is setup as triggered queue. When a message hits the xmit queue, a trigger message is sent to the initiation queue causing the channel initiator to start the channel. This is simply an autostart mechanism for starting the channel.
