Yes, but another post about how to upgrade eclipse to at least version 3.0.2 so the IS02 plugin will work with the MQ Explorer.
I have a windows box with no network connectivity, no way of reaching the internet, not allowed on the company network. (My kind of Lab - unrestricted).
Therefore, which package or file would I download from http://download.eclipse.org in order to do this stand-alone upgrade for eclipse? I'd simply download the file, copy to lab via thumb drive, then update. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,

Thanks for all the views for this post. I upgraded to eclipse 3.0.2.
Steps I took:
Downloaded eclipse-SDK-3.0.2-win32.zip from: http://archive.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.0.2-200503110845/index.php
Unzipped to c:\new\eclipse-SDK-3.0.2-win32
Followed instructions from is02v3 pdf:
1. Start WebSphere MQ Explorer.
2. From the Window menu, click Preferences. The Preferences dialog opens.
3. On the WebSphere MQ Explorer page of the Preferences dialog, in the Startup
section, click in an Eclipse Workbench (as shown in more detail in the
Installation Instructions below).
4. Close and restart WebSphere MQ Explorer.
5. In WebSphere MQ Explorer, click Help > Software Updates > Find and
Install. The Install/Update wizard opens
6. Selected 'Search for New Features to Install'
7. Selected 'New Local Site...'
8. Selected c:\new\eclipse-SDK-3.0.2-win32\eclipse (Very Important. Do not just select the top-level directory eclipse-SDK-3.0.2-win32 )
9. Check the box next to the new listing. Also check the box next to "Ignore features not applicable to this environment"
10. Next window. Select All then Finish. Done. |
