Hiii,
When I tried to deploy bar file to Broker, suddenly my Config Manager cried this exception:
BIP1015E: External exception.
The Configuration Manager attempted to use the services of an external component, but the component failed with the following error: '{0}'
Contact your IBM support center.

Says it all.
While you're waiting for a response, it's probably worth checking the queue manager logs, also see if any FDC have been thrown.
You also don't mention platform, OS or WMB version. If your WMB has an external configmgr database see if that's got any errors while advancing your plans to upgrade......

Vitor,
My MB is 6.1 runs on Windows XP with default DB2 DB configuration.
1)
I checked the FDC report and found this..couldn't understand the specified..
WebSphere MQ First Failure Symptom Report :

Include the entire FDC when you contact IBM.

Especially if you're not getting anything from the FDC (which is for internal use by IBM but sometimes has a clue).

This would point to a poorly configured MQ System. Did you run the config wizard after installation? Did MQ start with the configured user? Is the user that started MQ part of the mqm group?
I'm sure IBM support will have more specifics and be able to help you better.
Time to open that PMR....

Did someone invalidate the password of the configmgr service user? Did someone expire the config mgr service user? Did someone remove MQ permissions from the configMgr service user?
Did someone alter the permissions of the MQ user to access the Windows domain?
Did you try restarting the ConfigMgr, to see if this was a transient error caused by the configmgr losing it's connection to the domain controller? |

Jeff,
As I couldn't find the real solution, I removed the brokers and Config manager and created new Config Mgr & Broker...(Created New CM, CMDB, New Broker & itz DB, new QM for Broker & CM to sit..)
But when I tried to deploy the sample bar to Broker...it is again crying the samee thing....So is it the Issue with MQ system ? |

If you open a PMR (and send them the FDC) they'll be able to tell you. That's what the FDC is for. Indeed, what the PMR is for.

First off.
It's an MQ FDC. Not a Broker FDC. So it's clearly not a Broker issue.
Secondly, the message says that the IBM MQSeries service is misconfigured.
Thirdly, it tells you exactly what to do to fix it.

Fourthly - none of the things you did would have any effect on the problem.
Fifthly - you did not appear to attempt to answer any of the questions I asked.
Sixthly - You did appear to attempt to restart the ConfigMgr, in at least as much as you deleted it and started a new one. And this would eliminate transient issues caused by the ConfigMgr losing it's connection to the Windows security domain.
But that may have been excess force, and it didn't actually solve the problem. So you need to go back to troubleshooting the reported symptoms. |
