Does anyone know of any free monitoring tools out there for MQ? Any trail software would do too? We really want to try one first before we buy it. Thanks.

Hi,

Have you tried out Koblan's Java based MQJExplorer? It is more of an administrative tool with some monitoring features.

You can download it at:
http://www.kolban.com/mqjexplorer/

I downloaded the MQJExplorer and was trying to connect to a remote queue manager and I was getting this error.

CompletionCode 2: Reason Code 2009
I specified the queue manager name and the IPAddress of the machine it was running on.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks very much

Did you read the section on remote administration in the MQ System Administration manual?

If not, go and read it. You need an Admin svrconn channel.
